The People, Books, Podcasts & Modalities That Have Transformed My Life

I hope everyone has had a restful Easter weekend. I had been feeling super exhausted after coming home from Bali, getting slammed by the full moon (3 nights of very interrupted sleep and sore head), so the long weekend was very much chill mode. I had been feeling rather sad and jaded after arriving back - for a number of reasons - but once that full moon passed, it’s like a proverbial cloud lifted from me and I was re-inspired to dive back into work, getting lots of downloads and just feeling all round excited. Never underestimate the power of the moon, I always say.  She’s a handy scapegoat when I need one.

As a coach--one who has been on a huge transformational journey over the past few years, I’m often asked how I did it. Who I learnt from, and whose work I follow.

You see, transformation doesn’t just happen. It’s something you need to put conscious effort into, and take action every single day--particularly when it feels hard. I just happened to fall in love with personal development and make it my full-time career. I really do love sharing these resources with you in the hope that it inspires you to join me on the journey!

So here are my expanders. The books, podcasts, people and work that has raised my consciousness, shifted my reality and continues to expand what is possible for me day after day.

Work + healing modalities

The Bridge Experience & Extreme Leadership - transformational workshops led by Alexi & Preston that I completed in 2016 and 2017 (and then returned as a support coach on the LA tour in 2018).

Institute of Integrative Nutrition - where I gained my health coaching certification in 2018. I’m now an ambassador for IIN, and hope that I can get more people to join the program so we can create a ripple effect that changes the world! (Email me if you ever have questions about coaching.)

Reiki - I love Reiki--an ancient Japanese form of energy healing that removes blockages from energy centres (chakras) in the body. My Reiki healer is Kay Reiber, based in Howick. Email: kayreiber@xtra.co.nz

Spiritual Healing - I have been doing sessions with Gaia Chinniah from Soul Thirty Three for the past few years, and always leave feeling so grounded and light. Gaia blends past life regression, energy healing, hypnosis and channeling.

Meditation - I love meditation and try to do it daily, using either the 1 Giant Mind app, or Insight Timer (my favourite meditations are those by Sarah Blondin or Davidji.) My friend Britt has just opened a new meditation space in central Auckland called Brthe which I’m dying to check out.

Kundalini Yoga - I discovered this form of Yoga about a year ago on my 2nd trip to Bali, and fell in love. Here’s a set you can try on YouTube. If you’re in Auckland you can check out classes at Golden Yogi and Yoga Corner.

So that’s it. This list of healers and modalities and books will continue to expand as I do, so I will endeavour to come back and update it. And these are the teachings that I now share with my clients. If you’d like to work with me one-on-one, check out my private coaching page or my online courses.

Comment below and let me know some of your favourite resources so I can check them out too! I hope that this was helpful.. It’s definitely made me want to book in another Reiki session, so I think I’ll go and do that now.. Bye xo
