Lemon Coconut Shortbread Bliss Balls

Lemon Coconut Shortbread Bliss Balls

I made these lemon coconut bliss balls for my essential oils class last night, my final one before I scoot off to Bali - woooooooo! Bliss balls are a great little snack to make at the start of the week and pop in your bag so you're not tempted to snack on biscuits and sweets. They are gluten, dairy and refined sugar free.

Why I chose to give up coffee

Why I chose to give up coffee

In August last year, I quit coffee. Real coffee anyway; I still drink decaf. Is that cheating? I’m not sure. All I know is that my body responds really poorly to caffeine and cow's milk and I don’t really have time for that. As an FYI, decaf coffee has had approximately 97% of the caffeine removed, so there is still a trace, but not enough to make you chomp at the bit.

Making the transition to toxin-free skincare and makeup

Up until recently, I never gave much consideration to what products I was using on my face or body. I used whatever had a stable endorsement, good packaging and - in later years - looked fancy in an instagram flat-lay. But this year, the pinnacle point of my whole conscious journey, I was awakened to the fact that I needed to have more intention in the products I was using in order to align with my evolving values.

Huckleberry Reset & Restore Cleanse (and how I quit coffee!)

Huckleberry Reset & Restore Cleanse (and how I quit coffee!)

Recently my friend Tania and I embarked on a four day guided cleanse; a collaboration between Huckleberry and Feel Fresh Nutrition that promised to reset our systems after the winter season. It did that, and then some. Guided by the little nutritionist legend that is Abbie O’Rourke the programme included over four days worth of organic groceries, recipes, daily newsletters and a Facebook support group for endless virtual high-fives.
